Why sell with Share the Love Bridal?

Sell your wedding dress safely and without the hassle of online stores, organising postage or the worry of in-home viewings with strangers. Our series of pop-up events place your wedding dress in front of brides within the ultimate shopping experience.

We provide your dress with higher visibility than an online listing. Our social media posts, mannequin displays and dressing rooms offer the opportunity for buyers to touch, see and try on your dress.

What items do Share the Love Bridal sell?

 

Share the Love Bridal sells wedding dresses, boleros and belts in new or like-new condition (e.g., no rips, tears) and that are in style.

We only accept dresses that are in excellent condition, dry-cleaned, purchased within the last three years and have an original purchase price of $1800 or more. Dresses that have minor staining on the hem or a small tear may be able to be fixed by our seamstress, please get in touch to arrange a consultation.

Unfortunately we do not take veils on consignment due to their fragility.

How much can I ask for my wedding dress? 

We recommend sellers price dresses with a price range, which includes the ultimate price that you are looking to receive and the lowest price that you are happy to accept. We recommend based on market research and experience, that preloved wedding dresses be priced at a 40-60% discount from the purchase price.

 

How long will it take to sell my wedding dress?

The time it takes to sell will depend on the designer, style and the price of the dress. We can provide you with guidance on pricing and will strive to provide opportunities for shoppers to find and try your dress.

Does my dress need a dry-clean? 

Yes, all dresses must meet our nearly-new condition of visibly clean and free of stains, tears and rips. We recommend dry cleaning the garment as soon as possible following the wedding to achieve the best results. 

How long will my dress be included in the consignment collection?

Our series of pop-up events occur between October and April. At the end of the pop-up series (generally in April), we will offer to return dresses to sellers within 5km of the Adelaide CBD, or alternatively arrange a time for dress collection, or post it to you at a reduced fee.
